Sharpening is one of those acts that woodworkers pride themselves in perfecting and it is one of those parts of woodworking that can be done many, many different ways. Join us for a discussion of several different techniques and implements involved. We'll present and demonstrate sandpaper sharpening, use of a leather strop, honing guides, water stones and oil stones as well as the Tormek. There is a wide range in prices, technique needed and time needed to produce a sharp edge. We'll discuss the pros and cons and our experienc with each style. We pride ourselves in sharpening our tools so that you can shave with them and we've been able to do this with many different techniques let us share our experiences with you.
